Digestive Disease Week 2013 ● 2013.05.19 ~ 05.21● Congress venue: Orlando, USA● Booth Exhibition 2013 DDW was held in Orlando, USA. We, Taewoong Medical, attended as exhibitor.This time Taewoong Medical booth concept is “Art Gallery”. Collaboration with Korean Artist Hyun Seung, Kim who has recently been working in the theme “Communication”, we made an expression of sprit into Taewoong’s booth. As you can see below the pictures, in front of the booth, we installed some art pieces. Each letter portrays different human’s motions. Same as individual comes together as a group recognizing their own identity. Each human looked letter creates a sense of togetherness and make the image of “사람: Korean letter means Human”   Back of the front side, we took a place our nation flag as art. Using a lot of cylinders, we covered up with our signature color Red and Blue and inserted space in three dimensions. As Korean company, we’ve been always expressing Korean nation flag into booth. 2013 DDW was also no exception!!   Return to the congress story, We displayed our whole stent line; Biliary, Esophageal, Colonic & Duodenal stents. During the congress, the most interested stent was ‘Niti-S Nagi stent for pancreatic pseudocyst drainage which is new release product. A lot of doctors were really interested in this Nagi stent and wanted to know more information. Also, We, TaewoongMedical, have variety of stent product lines, that made to catch doctors and distributors attention from all around the world.Taewoong Medical promised to expectations now and for ever.Also, we had one of the most important event during congress period. The Niti-S dinner party was held at Disney World by TaewoongMedical. Almost 200 guests came from all around the world were having great time with dance and music and fabulous dinner. After finished the dinner, everybody moved on the stage of outside where is the main district, we were watching the magnificent fire work show. All the people here at Orlando couldn’t forget that night.   We, TaewoongMedical, do not want to be complacent and step forward for patient’s quality of life and becoming the company which lead less invasive gastrointestinal stent industry. We promised to meet again at Chicago next upcoming DDW 2014.

28th Annual EAU (European Association of Urology Congress) 2013 ● 2013.03.15 ~ 03.19● Venue : Mico-Milano Congressi, Via Gattamelata 5 - Gate 14, 20149 Milano, Italy The Annual EAU congress is a platform for the international urological community to share the largest and the most relevant knowledge with medical experts practising across the world.European largest, this urology event annually gathers thousands of  delegates and exhibits from over 100 countries.This is Taewoong’s second time to participate for the EAU congress and here are our activites. 1) ExhibitionThere were more than 10,000 people participated for this congress and many doctors shoewed their interested in our product – Uventa Ureteral stent. 2) Partner’s DayDuring the EAU 2013, we had a meeting with our international partners to discuss the marketing strategy of Uventa business. 3) Uventa Dinner PartyWe, Taewoong, prepared the Uventa Dinner party for our partners and doctors. Specially, many Italian doctors joined and discussed about the Uventa stent. Before dinner started, our product specialist -Mr. Sergey did presentation about Uventa Ureteral stent and experience in Korea. The next EAU will be held in Stockholm, Sweden. We, Taewoong Medical, will participate and look forward to seeing many doctors.Thank you very much!

Pan-American Gastroenterology Congress 2012 ● 2012.11.07~11.10● Congress venue: Panama city, Panama● Booth Exhibition Pan-American Gastroenterology Congress was held in Panama city, Centro De Convenciones Megapolis. This congress is one of the largest gastroenterology congress among South America.More than 25 medical device companies were participated in this congress.The day before the exhibition, there was hands on course with Taewoong’s esophageal full covered stent and biliary full covered stent. It was good chance to introducing TaewoongMedical’s stent to South American doctors.Doctors came from South America countries, they were high interested in our products and getting know about our stents. This hands on course was full of bursting enthusiasm of doctors.During XXXIII Panamerican Congress exhibition, a lot of doctors visited Taewoong booth. And, they wanted to know about Taewoong stents especially esophageal stents, BETA™&MEGA™ stents which are related with sleeve gastrectomy and bypass surgery. Also, they care much about other esophageal stents and pyloric/duodenal Taewoong stents. It was good time to introduce our stents to South America.This congress is held biennially in South America. We are looking forward to take part in 2014.

United European Gastroenterology 2012  ● 2012.10.20 ~ 10.24● Congress venue: Amsterdam, Netherlands● Booth Exhibition TaewoongMedical has been participated in UEGW since 2006. This time, UEGW 2012, is held in Amsterdam, Netherlands. More than 14,000 participants came to Amsterdam to contribute to UEGW 20th Anniversary Meeting. The booth size is total 90sqm and divided 3 different parts_Niti-S™ zone, Optimos zone and Product trial zone. More than 200 people visited our booth and had chance to know our products information. Moreover, product trial zone had chance to introduce our new products which are biliary short wire system and Esophageal TTS delivery system. In this zone, we can show demonstration how to our new products deployed and released. It might be helpful those who want to know about our products.And 1st day of exhibition night, TaewoongMedical’s dinner symposium was held in Okura Hotel near center of Rai. Over 170 people were participated our dinner symposium and listened speaker’s presentation. The 1st speaker was Dr. Giovanini. His presentation was deal with EUS-guided hepatico-gastrostomy with GIOBOR™ stent of ours. And Dr. Costamagna and Dr. Isayama were announced about different malignant hilar stenting. Dr. Costamagna was deal with side by side technique of multiple plastic stent or metal stent. Dr. Isayama was reported about stent –in- stent technique of our LCD™ stent. Last speaker was Dr. Reddy and he was announced about pseudocyst drainage by EUS-guided or therapeutic duodenoscope with NAGI™ stent case.It was really profitable time both audiences and speakers and TaewoongMedical. On flood of supports, we had successfully completed 2012 UEGW.Upcoming next UEGW 2o13 will be held in Berlin, Germany. We hope we can meet next UEGW in Berlin.

Society International Urology 2012 ● 2012.09.30~ 2012.10.04● Congress venue: FUKUOKA, Japan● Booth Exhibition We, Taewoong Medical Co.,Ltd. attended SIU Fukuoka in Japan from September 30 ~ October 4, 2012.The SIU strives to position itself as a major international platform for sustainable urological education and collaborative humanitarian activities aimed at improving urological care.Notably, the now-annual SIU Congresses give members and colleagues from all nations a forum in which to meet and discuss professional topics in a spirit of collegiality and common purpose.As an exhibitors, Taewoong Medical Co.,Ltd exhibited UVENTA™ Ureteral Stent. From the end of 2011, We have started new business with urology stent. Now, we are promoting UVENTA™ Ureteral stent and several clinical studies.SIU was the 2nd exhibit following the WCE 2012 in Italy.It was successful exhibition in SIU 2012.A lot of doctors and distributors from around world were concerned about UVENTA™ Ureteral stent.It is made by nitinol and PTFE membrane. UVENTA™ Ureteral stent has large diameter. It is 21 Fr and 24Fr are large enough to introduce ureteroscope and other endoureteral devices. Also, it is pre-mounted delivery system cuts off procedure time. And, it has low foreshortening, low migration rate (optimal combination of three layers prevents stent migration), no tumor ingrowth because of PTFE membrane in between two stent blocks tissue invasion. Above those advantages, UVENTA™ has lots of pros.Started by attending SIU 2012, We had chance to give wide publicity to our UVENTA™ Ureteral stent.Taewoong Medical is new company with new concept of metallic stent.
